MBT and AS9110  

AS 9110 is a standard founded on ISO 9001. It uses the principals of quality management system employed by ISO and applies them to the aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) industry.

Messier-Bugatti-Tracer is a DNV Certified AS-9110 Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Facility. Our Purchase and Repair Order Quality Requirements are listed below.

Purchase Order Quality Requirements

  • Calibration System - The supplier is required to establish and maintain a calibration system that conforms to the requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 or ISO 10012-1. Gage Calibration and Test Labs must maintain accreditation to the applicable requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.

  • Material received must be the exact part number of the material ordered and must include proper trace paperwork including Certificate of Compliance.

  • Personnel must have proper training for the jobs they are performing that meet the Aerospace Quality standards.

  • The Quality Management System must be equal to or exceed the requirements of Aerospace Standards and must be an approved vendor by MBT’s Quality system.

  • Material is ordered by specific part numbers per OEM’s CMM’s and therefore must not be substituted without specific written approval of purchasing agent.

  • MBT may request design, test, examination, inspection and related instructions for acceptance by the organization.

  • MBT may require first article test specimens (e.g., production method, number, storage conditions) for inspection, investigation or auditing.

  • Vendor must notify MBT of any nonconforming part or material sold to MBT or used on any repairs for MBT.

  • Vendor must notify MBT of changes in product and/or process definition and, where required, obtain organization approval.

  • MBT, their customers, and the Authorities must have right of access to all facilities involved in the order and to all applicable records.

  • MBT requires for the supplier to flow down to all sub-tier suppliers the applicable requirements in the purchasing or repair order documents, including key characteristics.

  • MBT requires Aerospace standard organization release documentation packages, which might include teardown reports, work packages, proof that material is non incident related, FAA tags, 8130-3’s, EASA form 1 and applicable trace paperwork.

  • MBT requires the vendor/supplier to report defects and unairworthy conditions to this organization and applicable regulatory authorities.


Repair Order Quality Requirements
